Setting-Out Made Easy
The advent of the programmable calculator heralded the end of the era
of tedious and repetitive calculations forever. Now site engineers have at their
disposal the means of quickly and accurately setting out virtually anything using
a total station in combination with a hand held computer. The software
on board total stations has always been inadequate for the use of site engineers.
It has been written for land surveyors, by land surveyors. Anyway, the engineer's
work normally involves a variety of calculations best done in doors at the desk.
Over a period of years I have written programs that totally changed
the way I set out. No more having to set up on grid lines - no more setting out
tangent points and intersection points - no more boring setting out.
Once the user gets familiar with the applications of these programs, it makes
the business of setting out fun - not drudgery. There is an infinite way of setting
out on sites and by degrees, as the understanding of the computer increases, then
likewise the variations available to the operator become apparent. I
have now sold over a thousand of these since I first realised their potential
and I cannot recollect one negative response. In fact I have received many written
compliments one of which said 'if every £200 I spent gave me such wonderful returns
then I would be a wealthy man'. As you might gather, I am a big fan
of my own product, not least because whilst working freelance it was important
that you could demonstrate that you were at least as good as the rest. This little
calculator kept me in employment longer than any other single factor. In fact
if I were to find that I'd set out for work without it - turning back was the
only option. However, don't just take my word for it, purchase one today
and receive a full instruction manual with a guarantee that if you are not completely
satisfied with the product within the first 30 days, then you can have a full
refund.
