LCA Nitram and Nitric Acid Plants

Mechanical inspections, equipment overhaul and planned maintenance work carried out by International Combustion Limited with first line supervision and labour resource provided by ROCKALL.

The main jobs in the overhaul are:-

Refractory Repair
HF Acid Wash of Evaporators and Pipework Tower Repairs
Gas Cooler Cleaning
Compressor Overhauls
Tails Gas Team Heater Repair
Absorption Column Repack

Shutdown duration - 17 days

ROCKALL provided ICL with a second tier management and administration team comprising of:-

COST ENGINEER
SAFETY ENGINEER
MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENTS (2) RIGGING SUPERINTENDENT
MATERIALS CONTROLLERS (2) TIMEKEEPER

In the 72 hour period leading up to the start of the shut-down programme, ROCKALL located and mobilised a quality, tried and tested labour force comprising:-

MECHANICAL FITTERS (25)
PIPE FITTERS (40)
SAFETY STANDBY OPERATIVES (12)
LABOURERS (15)

The Shutdown Project was completed within budget and on time and with virtually no labour turnover.
